My Most Used Drug Store Products

Thought it would be helpful to share some of my most loved drugstore products. I will include one from just about every category (skin,eyes,lips..) hope you find this helpful, and also realize there are dupes for high end products or sometimes even better products hidden in your neighborhood Target!

Product #1: Aveeno Positively Radiant brightening cleanser- I have always been a big fan of Aveeno! I used Clinique face products for a while but I always find myself going back to the positively radiant line. I also use the night moisturizer and the day time one as well. These products are great for sensitive skin, but they truly do what they say.. Brighten your skin! They get rid of the dullness and give you a fresh palette for makeup.

Product #2: Not Your Mothers texturizing sea salt spray- This product and also the dry shampoo from the same company have become my holy grail summer products! While my hair is wet I spritz this sea salt spray and let it air dry. It gives my flat/ straight hair texture and also makes curls last longer.

Product #3: No. 7 shine free primer- this brand can be found at target. It's a little pricier then your average drugstore lines, but the products I have tried have been worth it. A face primer is used to smooth out any imperfections and fill in any pores before applying foundation. Make sure you let it dry and soak into the skin before applying makeup over it because it can begin to flake. I love this product for its mattifying properties because I have super oily skin!

Product #4: Maybelline dream matte powder- I have tried so many high end powders and I can tell you don't waste your money. You can find a powder in the drugstore for a fraction of the cot that will do the same thing! This powder definitely does what it says and gives your face a matte finish. It's not cakey and doesn't make you feel like you have globs of makeup on in the summer. Recommend for oily skin! Also the Rimmel stay matte powder in translucent is one of my favs for setting under eye concealer.

Product #5: Neutrogena acne stress control toner- I recently bought this as a replacement for my Clinique toner. My breakouts tend to flare up when I'm stressed and Lord knows I'm stressed! Decided to give this a try and I love it! It's been doing a great job at keeping my skin clear, but also not being too harsh. I love the way it makes my skin feel squeaky clean after I use it!

Product #6- Up and Up brand eye makeup remover(Target)- I love this stuff! Removes any/all waterproof mascara easily and makes my eye area feel moisturized after use.

Product #7:Hard Candy under eye concealer- I have become a big can of the brand Hard Candy. The only downfall is I have to go into Walmart to get it. This concealer also includes an under eye gel that you apply before the concealer and it really does brighten the under eye area. I also recommend their heavy duty concealer, but use sparingly!

Product #8: sinful colors nail polish- I just grabbed this color, but in general I love this brand! They are only $1.99 but always have such a great color variety and they don't chip as fast as other drugstore nail polish.

Product #9: Loreal linear intense liquid eyeliner- I have tried a few other liquid liners, but always go back to this one. It stays put all day even on my oily lids and is very opaque. I also love the felt tip applicator, it's the perfect diameter for a simple line or sexy cat eye! I also really like Loreals cream eyeliners as well for a more natural look.

Product #10: Maybelline color vivids lipstick- I started with one color from this line and found myself buying another one every time I went to Target! They are one of my favorite lipstick lines because they are such vivid colors. The color payoff is amazing and they last for hours.

Product #11/12: Loreal telescopic and voluminous mascaras- these are my all time favorite drug store mascaras. Yet again I always find myself going back to these two. They both do what they say, and layered together is the perfect combo of volume and length! People always ask if I have false lashed when I wear the telescopic!

Product #13: Loreal BB Cream- I have tried probably at least 10 BB creams. This is my favorite drugstore one because it has decent coverage, gives your skin a dewy finish, and looks natural. Most summer days I am wearing this product! Also, if you want a little more coverage just mix in a bit of your favorite full coverage foundation!

Product #14: Rimmel kajal eyeliners- I particularly love the white/ nude liner in this line, but also the blue. I use the white one for my waterline to make my eyes appear bigger and brighter. The navy blue also makes blue eyes look more "true".

Hope this post helps and helps you find some of your future holy grail products! I plan on doing a post all about foundations soon! (including tinted moisturizers, bb creams, powder and liquid), so keep an eye out for that!

My weekend of outfits

Celebrated my anniversary this weekend with my high school sweetheart 💜🚲 He is part of the reason I started this blog. From day one he has done nothing but encourage me, and lift me up. He supports me in everything, and its comforting to know he always has my back. When you have something good in your life... Definitely cherish it! If you ever read this..... Thank you Edgar for never letting me give up, and being the wind beneath my wings. I love you!

Here are a few pictures of my weekend! Sported some work out gear for our mini road trip/ bike ride. Spent time with the family and wore a comfy linen dress with a "shark bite" hemline. If you enjoy frequent outfit posts, follow my blog!

Favorite Drug Store Lipstick

I've been a long time fan of the Wet and Wild lipsticks, and for the price of $1.99 each at the drugstore I have to share! First off, the pigmentation is amazing, every color I've tried has been opaque and vibrant. I love minimal makeup and then a pop o color on the lips and these are perfect for that. The lasting power is awesome and even better than some of my high end lipstick. For even better staying power, put concealer over the lips before applying or a lip liner. Its fun to change the tone of your lip color just by layering different liners with your lipstick!I definitely recommend picking a few up, and if you do let me know your favs! Here are swatches of a few I picked up today!

New beginnings!

As anyone who knows me knows... fashion and beauty has always been my creative outlet and source of happiness. The older I get the more I've realized that when I submerge myself in these areas (whether it's doing makeup for a wedding, my girlfriends, or finding the best deals in the mall and thrifting) I am truly myself. Life is unpredictable and throws us curve balls, and I'm more than ready to truly express myself and hopefully the areas in which I'm talented in will provide me with an amazing career someday. Thank you to all the people in my life (friends and family) for the continuous support and uplifting compliments of the work I have done this far. It's only the beginning! Thought I would share a few pictures that summarize my style. Here are a few recent pictures of my ever-changing and free spirited style.
